Extended Care Program

The Renfrew Center's Extended Care Program provides a unique opportunity to help those on the road to recovery transition back into the outside world. It is located at Renfrew House, a facility built on our current Philadelphia campus. The Extended Care Program will support, challenge, and encourage individuals who are recovering from eating disorders, living in community with each other, to reclaim their lives and re-enter life outside of treatment.

The program is open to individuals 18 and over who have previously completed an intensive treatment program. All participants must have access to their own transportation.

Those who would benefit most from the program includes individuals who:

  • Desire a recovering community of peers for support
  • Need to relearn or master life skills
  • Want mealtime support and challenge in a safe, home-like setting
  • Would benefit from an alternate living situation to further enhance recovery

Core components of the Extended Care Program include:

  • Career  & School Counseling
  • Financial Counseling
  • Weekly Speakers
  • Exercise Groups
  • Meditation
  • Life Skills Groups
  • Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Volunteer Opportunities
  • Relocation Assistance
  • Off-Site Outings
  • Community Meetings
