Coconut Creek Outpatient Groups
Adolescent Eating Disorders Group Adolescent girls struggling to overcome
anorexia, bulimia or other disordered eating
patterns involving binge eating or restricting
can benefit from this weekly group. Led by
experienced therapists, the sessions provide a
safe, sympathetic atmosphere where group members
explore what triggers their eating disorders as
well as issues concerning body image,
relationships, school, work and home.
Eating Disorders Group
Women struggling to overcome anorexia, bulimia

Nutrition Group
This weekly group focuses on building a healthy
relationship with food and improving eating
habits using a non-diet approach. Led by an
experienced nutritionist, the group also
includes discussion of how to end the cycle of
yo-yo dieting and stabilize weight and meal
patterns. Meal planning and strategies for
grocery shopping are also covered.
Emotional Eating Group
A weekly group that helps women overcome
compulsive overeating and make positive
lifestyle changes. The group focuses on the
needs of the participants and may include
looking deeper at culture, family and self
within a sympathetic and safe atmosphere.

Multi-Family Group
When: Saturdays Time: 9:30-11:00 am Where: The Renfrew Center of
Florida Who: Open to Alums of The Renfrew Center Cost: $20 per session
This group is open to the public and attended by
current, former and prospective patients, as
well as their friends, partners and family
members. The facilitator is an experienced
therapist who emphasizes the healing power of
families and other key relationships in the
process of their loved one’s recovery. The open
discussion focuses on the influence of family
communication styles and roles in eating
disorder treatment.
Free Support Group
Post-Gastric Bypass Support Group
When: Tuesday evenings **Call for
dates Time: 6:45 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Cost: FREE
This group is for Post-Gastric Bypass patients
coping with issues related to lifestyle and
body-image changes. Led by a licensed
psychologist, the group provides a sympathetic,
safe atmosphere for members to begin to discover
ways to cope with the complexities of
body-image. Everyone is encouraged to share
their thoughts and feelings. By meeting with
others who share similar problems, participants
learn to develop interpersonal skills and
identify food and body- image issues. It is
open to all Pre- and Post-Gastric Bypass
Patients.
From I-95 North: Travel on I-95 North to Hillsboro Boulevard
West.
Continue for approximately 5 miles, turning right at
the traffic signal on Lyons Road.
Proceed north, turning left on NW 74th Place.
Take the next right (NW 48th Avenue), drive 1/2
mile, and turn right into The Renfrew Center parking
lot.
Note: Lyons Road is also accessible from either The
Saw Grass Expressway, just east of 441, or by taking
the Turnpike to Sample Road and traveling west on
Sample Road 1 mile and then turning right onto Lyons
Road. Proceed north about 4 miles, past the
intersection of Hillsboro Boulevard, turning left
onto NW 74th Place and right on NW 48th Avenue.
